there's some sort of bug flying around me |
|
Any hints on how to kill it or capture it or somehow get it out of my misery?
It's really speedy and acrobatic.

a .410 with rat shot should do the trick, it's much quieter.

It has a similar flight pattern. But it's smaller. And even tougher to catch. I think this might be a Southernism, but it doesn't seem to "light" anywhere.

Arm yourself with two fly swatters. Then wave them around like you are Barney Fife doing karate. Sooner or later it's gonna hit one of the fly swatters.

They have a long reach. Whip it like a...well a whip. I can rip curtains down from 6 feet away, stun the bug, and the cats do clean-up.

Less environmentally toxic than insecticide, quiet so you don't disturb the neighbors, and it works. You zap the bug with the spray starch, the little wings stiffen, it can't fly, it falls to the ground, and then you whack it with a newspaper.
