1. I think New Orleans is quite dangerous...Va Beach has lots of Military |
|
but that part of VA is pretty cool. East coast beaches rock.

I am completely within my right to say that, before anybody tries to bash me, I was born and raised there. It used to be a pretty cool town back in the seventies, then Pat Robertson rose to power and the place flat out sucks. Too crowded, and the people that live there are all ex-military that are mostly pro-Bush. Norfolk isn't that bad it is like a "real" city. Move to Ghent in Norfolk, it is the only place in the whole Tidewater region that even remotely resembles anything alternative or progressive.

I've never been to New Orleans, but I was stationed in Norfolk Naval Air Station in '69-71. The whole place sucked.
On edit: Try the Gulf Coast of Florida. Clearwater-St. Pete area. It was 85 degrees yesterday, and the nutjobs should be gone from Pinellas Park in about a week.

Move to Virginia Beach if you like driving thirty minutes to get anywhere, being run off the road by jacked-up Pickups with B/C '04 stickers, roads that flood everytime it rains, and a local newspaper that actually lowers your IQ after having read it. Really, it does. I spent two years in that hellhole and it was two years too long. Don't make the same mistake.
The only thing I remember about New Orleans was the humidity and the crime. I guess you can get used to that.

7. Louisiana needs more Democrats. And they have great parties. |
|
And music, and beignets.
Virginia Beach is too damned close to a fundy HQ.

8. My vote is for the Crescent City. |
|
Va. Beach-too much of a repug stronghold.
But we do need more Dems moving into areas down south to neutralize the Red Menace.
