Now even "American Idol" can't do voting right |
|
I was reading in my inbox entertainment news I like to recieve and I was reading an article that Wednesday night the show asked viewers to revote for the person they voted for on Tuesday night. Does Diebold own them or something? Apparently according to mtv.com they displayed incorrect phone numbers. I know anything can happen and people make mistakes, but c'mon. Really. How could a high rated tv show make a mistake like this? Aren't they supposed to be prepared? Three of the people had incorrect numbers. I guess I think it was quite funny.

1. Think of it this way . . . you know how much it's going to cost them? |

Those "toll free" numbers are only toll free to the caller, not to the recipient :). It's gonna cost 'em a freakin' fortune for all those calls :).

2. The last time I heard something like this happened... |
|
it was because a producer at one of the networks wanted to get back at his ex-girlfriend. He put her company's phone # on the screen. They went out of business due to a lawsuit from MCI. If you have a 1-800 number, things like this can happen and can easily put you out of business. The telcos just don't care.
