2. Tit-for-Tat
That sucks!

I have found that when people forget my birthday that they always seem to remember the next year when I pointedly forget their birthdays or anniversaries!

But that's a crappy solution, I know.

Well Happy Belated Birthday to you!

4. Happy Belated B-Day
Sorry no one in your family called. Legitimate bum-out. But, just move on past it and celebrate anyway! Maybe they're planning a surprise?

Well, anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

8. Sorry to hear that, but Happy Birthday anyway
I hope your friends at least called or helped you celebrate in some way.

My 42nd was Monday. I got two calls (one from each brother), but that was pretty much it. One or two emails, too. I'm just too boring, I guess...

Happy birthday!

My dad forgot about my birthday one year and it made me feel bad. He did remember belatedly, so it all worked out. If it's any consolation, I'm sure you'll get lots of happy birthday wishes from us.

shun your family. They suck. I hate 'em. give me their names and addresses and I'll go punch 'em all in the neck and kick their dogs.

Happy Birthday! I turned 42 in June!

I think it's a legitimate complaint. I hope it was fabulous (y'know, other than not hearing from your family).

16. If you're as alienated from your relatives as I am from mine...

...it's a blessing that they don't contact you.

17. You have every right to feel this way
However, here is something worse. My wife's family forgot her birthday (no card, no gifts, not a single luxury), but they remembered mine. She was more then a bit upset.

By the way, Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday.

no surprise, eh? Chin up, then, mate, we'll be happy to happy birthday you.....and good wishes etc on your, ahem, advanced age.....
(when I passed 40 it felt like I was finally beginning to really get competent at life. Interesting sensation. Then my kids hit their teens....).

Happy Birthday GBC. Hope you had a wonderful day anyway, and I wish you many more ahead. No you are not being childish, that would be very disappointing. They will feel like heels when they remember, as they rightfully should. Hugs. :toast:

32. Last May my 3 kids, who all live with me, forgot mine.
I didnt say anything about it that day. My mom called the next day when I was at work and asked my oldest, 21, what he got me for my birthday. His jaw dropped!
I was a little bummed.

35. That reminds me of my father
When my parents were alive, my mother told me a story that one year, after we had all moved away, my dad was in a terrible, sulking mood. She asked him what was wrong, and he complained that he couldn't believe that none of his sons remembered his birthday. She looked at him and said "Your birthday is NEXT week!"

:)

33. Happy Birthday....however your parents are only obligated till 18th
birthday...and after the 'sweet 16' that is up for question. I HATE Birthdays, Xmas, Easter, Columbus Day...what is that all about anyway? It is ONLY for the Hallmarks of the world to benefit...and you get???? Another year older!!! :bounce: Be glad you are alive and leave everyone else off the hook for not making you the center of the universe one day a year???

Don't worry, we are still in the middle of this rotten passion play, things may change when we get to the end.

you should not want to be reminded when you get in the forties anyway ;-)
