4. My pastor is the main minister at our church. |
|
We have "associate ministers" who help.
My pastor, thus, "has her own church."
Am I on the right path with this?

All pastors are ministers, but not all ministers are pastors. So the pastor is the "main" man/woman at a church

Some of our ministers just like to help out, maybe take on teaching a class or such. They don't want the responsibility of managing a church.

"Reverend" is a title. My official title is "The Reverend Cheesehead."
Some clergy choose to be called Rev. Some prefer the use of Pastor. Some denominations use one or the other, exclusively (most ELCA Lutheran churches call their clergy "pastor.")
Priests are Catholic and Episcopal.
Most protestant denominations hopelessly confuse the two, and there is very little, other than personal preference or tradition, to know what to call the pastoral leader.
Personally, I choose "Pastor" - mostly because people who know me realize I can be totally irreverant at times. :)

:-( And fighting a cold. (I came home, took a shower and fell asleep at 7:00) Rev Cheesehead sounds better than Pastor Cheesehead. IMHO

The KOEB can survive (barely) without you. I, however, cannot.
If I went the other route, I'd be named Pastor Parmesan. Doesn't do a thing for me (and I'm not Italian, either).
Is Jamie keeping you company? (cats are the best when you're feeling out of sorts.)

It's the busy season, and I'm working tomorrow and Friday at 7. But I may check in later - especially if the party's still going.
Try not to have too much fun without me!
Sleep well, Sparky.
