A few nights ago I went to a networking event. ANd this guy started talking to me, and ultimately I realized he was part of an MLM scheme. I had no idea what he was talking about - I kept asking him what the product or service was, and didn't really get a straight answer.
I should have at this point gotten rid of him. But I think I felt like it was my fault for not understanding what he was saying, rather than his fault for not communicating.
And why should I be polite? I do that too much and it wastes my time
:evilfrown: <--- the new me

9. Start by saying "no" twenty times a day.... |

sometimes for no apparent reason. It's extremely liberating. Do this for one week. See if it helps increase your general bitchiness or at least increases the impression others have of you that you are a bitch.
Post random snarky comments for no apparent reason (pm me if you need a list) One example: I'm busy right now, can I ignore you later?
Then, once you've mastered that, join us in the lounge for our nightly pile on....Apparently, it's "be mean to newbies" week, here at DU :D
Then, hunt down sundog and tell him to bite you at every opportunity.
After that, see me if you really feel you are in need of additional instructions.
Oh - and no whining. Whining is absolutely not permitted. :P

and you can only be who are so be it. I am nice to fault sometimes but I have tough time living with myself when I am not nice.

Like Amway... Where people recruit others to be under them so they can make a percentage off the people at the bottom.
They never come right out and say what the product or service is

like the T Shirt. I still say thank you to the toll booth operators who hand me tickets to pay at the end of my journey. I don't know why other than I know it is their job and I guess I thank them for doing it. At the end of a telephone sales pitch which is a complete irritation to me most of the time I say well I am not interested but thank you anyway. I'm am just hopeless.

10. I used to listen to phone sales pitches |
|
But eventually I started to hang up in the middle. I'm not good with coercion, so I just try to get rid of them.
The national Do Not Call registry is the best thing that ever happened to telephones, IMO.

think of treating some kinds of losers the way a cat plays with dinner . . . you're just doing it to sharpen your skills.
More to the point - if someone is being obnoxious to you it's because they were obnoxious to someone else and it worked out for them. You want to be Darwinian and help them evolve away from that false belief. Always remember, karma will get them, with a little help from you.
Everyone more or less knows the boundaries of propriety and once they've overstepped . . . it's cat and mouse time.
