Somewhere that's green....
Well, if not, he's got inner beauty
And I dream of a place
Where we could be together at last

A matchbox of our own
A fence of real chain link,
A grill out on the patio
Disposal in the sink
A washer and a dryer and an ironing machine
In a tract house that we share
Somewhere that's green.

He rakes and trims the grass
He loves to mow and weed
I cook like Betty Crocker
And I look like Donna Reed
There's plastic on the furniture
To keep it neat and clean
In the Pine-Sol scented air
Somewhere that's green

Between our frozen dinner
And our bedtime, nine-fifteen
We snuggle watchin' Lucy
On our big, enormous twelve-inch screen

I'm his December Bride
He's Father, he Knows Best
Our kids watch Howdy Doody
As the sun sets in the west
A picture out of Better Homes and Gardens magazine

Far from Skid Row
I dream we'll go
somewhere that's green.

1. That song is so beautiful, I want to weep every time I hear it or play it.
The over-hyping of "Aladdin", "Beauty And The Beast" and "The Lion King" aside, Ashman and Menken were a brilliant songwriting team.

5. I think our DVD has the alternate ending?
'Least I'm pretty sure it's on there?

6. I heard of it...but I've never seen it...
You mean the one where Seymour and Audrey both get eaten..and the plant takes over the world...

I would love to see it...

8. Just looked at the cover
Doesn't say anything about it. But I remember going through the extra scenes and seeing that. I don't recall it being a really long scene, though?

9. The one I'm thinking of was really long...
Like 20 minutes or so...so I guess it's not the one...

People pay big bucks for it on Ebay...

14. Just checked mine. Not it.
It's funny, I recall the scene, but its not on this DVD. Ah well.

10. Listen to this song back-to-back with "Part of Your World" from
Disney's 'The Little Mermaid'. Uncanny resemblance. But then, they were composed by the same two lyricists and composers, Ashman and Menken.

11. Yes I've noticed it...
And the theme of each song is the same too...

Art is either plagiarism or revolution...take your pick...
