... the thick, powerful, tubey sound of which has never translated to digital.
If you want to really feel that album, play it on vinyl on a good stereo and hear all the music between the 44,100 samples per second on the cd.

The Firm's song "Midnight Moonlight". That song was almost epic. The final song off the first album and Paul Rodgers did a good job singing it. It actually started out as a song called "Swan Song" that Jimmy Page wrote during the Physical Graffiti sessions of Led Zeppelin but never released. And Page reworked it with Paul Rodgers when they were working on The Firm and it became "Midnight Moonlight".

I knew then that I couldn't stand him. He wasn't just arrogant, he was self-righteous and I hated his politics. It was never so clear what an asshole someone was as it was him when I watched that.
