Doc is finally finished torturing poor Al Swearingen.
Thank God. Now we can get down to the business of feeding more bad cowboy junkies to Wu's pigs.

So which is it? Did Doc motivate Al to pass the kidney stone by threatening to perform surgery on him, or did Doc dodge the bullet, so to speak? I mean, Doc was really scared to death of having to actually cut Al open.

1. Don't give Dan too much lip.
and if you do, try to stay behind him.

2. Other--the writer has given Al's rivals enough time to form a coalition...
...while Al was indisposed for two episodes.

FINALLY, Al will be back...he's just the best character on the whole show, by far. The linchpin of the show, actually. I wish they could have laid him up in some way where he still could have talked, somehow...made wisecracks through his delirium, maybe.

Well, at least there was no Jane last night.
