that the ts story has reached this level is just evidence of the venality of the "press" and the fundamentalist christians who made this issue more than what it really is: a routine event that occurs every day in hospices throughout this country.

Terri Schiavo is just a name that is in the news constantly - the usual media whores' drivel regarding this case. I wake up thinking - well, did she live another day or is this IT?

But, yes, actually - I do think of all the people on this planet who are suffering. My husband is on a feeding tube due to his cancer. But his story is different. He uses it to supplement what he can eat throughout the day to keep his weight up so that he can take treatment.
