I got accepted to graduate school!! |
|
I hope nobody minds me sharing my good news but I'm really excited!!! The head of the department called me this morning and said that I had been accepted and told me where to get information on an assistantship that would be working at an 18th century "living history" type tavern or in the department!!!
:woohoo::woohoo::party:
I just had to share with all my friends here!

I'm working on a masters myself, will yours be a masters or a doctorate level degree?
Isn't it a great feeling? Now the REAL work starts, LOL!

the director called me before I got anything in the mail so I'll have to see for sure when it comes. But I won't be able to live at graduate school without DU!

10. Oops, I should have mentioned that! LOL! |

I got accepted to Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania for their history program. I wanted to stay in Pennsylvania so that I wouldn't have to pay out of state fees and I can go home a lot!

I'm getting my Masters and IIT. It's close enough to home (Milwaukee) that I can go back any time, yet I still get the Chicago job opportunities!

I don't think I could live without DU!!! Plus, I live and will still live in PA so I hope I have time to volunteer for Bob Casey's senate campaign to get Santorum out of office!!
What are you going to Tulane for? I'm going for history.

Of course no on minds! It's great news.
Working in an 18th Century "living history" tavern sounds amazing, is that what you're going to choose to do?
What are you studying?
Congratulations!!

That work does sound amazing! I think I'd most like to do that because it's my goal to work in a library/archive/museum type setting rather than teaching so it would be great experience. I'll be studying history. My time period of choice would be from the beginning of World War II to the end of the 1960s. I'm obsessed with the sixties, Kennedy Administration, early Cold War.
