Help! Been vegging out to Dirty Harry DVDs all evening! |
|
Well, do ya feel lucky, punk? Do ya?
I found the complete collection of unexpurgated widescreen Dirty Harry flicks, and have been wasting the day watching them. I also watched the widescreen version of The Dirty Dozen. All I have left are Clint Eastwood's Firefox and Where Eagles Dare.
I may wait for tomorrow to finish 'em off-- I think I need to find my way back to reality (such as it is) for a few hours and get some sleep.
Go ahead. Make my day.

4. I've had that one for a while |

It's at the bottom of a 4' stack of DVDs. I'll have to tear the stack down to get to it.

I think that is the one where he storms a town with an armored bus. Haven't seen it in a long time, but now I want to again

9. yes and no. Like "The Prisoner" TV series... |
|
...it takes an established persona (John Drake/Harry) and shows what happens when the good soldier is, in fact, betrayed by superiors...

The original movie was partly inspired by the Zodiac Killer. The letters to the cops, the villians name, Scorpio, and the attack on the school bus (Zodiac never actually did this, but threatened it in his letters) were all taken from the Zodiac Killer
Clint is one of my all time favorite actors and directors. I have seen most of his films and I rank many, including Dirty Harry, on my all time favorites list.

10. it's fantastic! *Better* than I remembered it.... |
|
...course had only seen previously, upon its release, and didn't quite "get" all the loss/healing stuff...
As I watched it this time, I kept thinking how it's a kind of template of making a new "home" for any of us that survive these dark years...
