I feel my ability to love and empathize deteriorate. |
|
I wanted to be a teacher in the past and I am not because teachers screwed me over. Needless to say, I am very much not fond of teachers. That would be an understatement.
I am getting sick to death of Republicans and Right wing religious types. The way they hijack this country and rag on people that are not like them. It really gets to me that I could honestly wish ill of anybody, but God I hate Ann Coulter and Jerry Falwell. And O'Rielly. Among others. Many that may be good people I have no use for. I hope my counseling works out.

You're in the Right place.
There are so many of us that wish the Righties would have the common decency to fall under a speeding Gasoline tanker taste their own blood and then die slowly inhaling the flames from the confligration which should completely consume to the last atom their reeking purilent putrescent corpses to spare the rest of us forensic and funeral expenses.
BOG these people are SO INSENSITIVE.

4. Yeah I have to "Keep Comin' Back," too. |

Sometimes the hatred I feel for them is so palpable I think others can sense HEAT coming off of my body...
Especially when one of them tells my Adopted 10 Year Old Chinese daughter that she is going to HELL because she talks about Buddha so she comes home weeping uncontrollably.
I guess I'm just too touchy. Tough.

2. think of it as your ability to love and empathize becoming |
|
more informed.
You don't love and empathize with tyrants, nor stupid people who would ruin the environment and economy for us and our children, or who would take away the social safety nets that keep our society functional, but it is precisely because of love and empathy that we give a damn about it.

So it's okay to reciprocate.
I feel the same way you do. I am not a hating person by nature but after watching the GOP go after Clinton for eight years, and what has happened since, I have lost the ability to love or even consider compromise with those bastards. They've changed me from a moderate into a radical, and the religious fundies have turned me against religion. But it also forced me to pay attention to politics and that is a real plus.
Good luck in counseling, but I like you the way you are.

6. Well. I have a lot of anger. |

Like I said, I am not fond of teachers. I used to think they were some of the greatest people in the world. Now I hate them. Because of what a group of them did to me.

7. You can't expect anything in return for love and empathy |
|
It's one of those Dao things--he who does not compete has no competition.
