4. I've actually talked with him before

Back in 2003 I was at a private fundraiser for him. Made the mistake of wearing 3.5in heels adding to my already 5'10" stature. Needless to say I shook his hand and was looking down on him.

Tonight I'll wear flats!

I shook his hand one time and I was substantially taller than him.

I said to him:

"I just wanted to let you know that you are one of two people that inspired me to get involved." He said "Well thanks. I appreciate that." I then said "Bush was the other one." He and everyone standing around laughed.


Of course Kerry was the only politician that I had to look up to that I shook hands with.

27. Ok, look, WAY back when the primaries

were barely started, I mean before most people were even paying attention, Dean had a blog on his website. Then a chat room started. On the blog adn in the chat room, there would be occasional comments about his looks, his attractiveness, etc., and that led to comments about "licking him." STRICTLY a joke. I guess you'd have to have seen the original context.

Well, a lot of those original Dean supporters are here and I know they get the "licking him" jokes. There's even a website started by some women who find him mighty attractive. Can't remember the name of it. Dean's Somethings.....hmmm, it escapes me.

Anyway. That's where that's from. Old, inside joke, I guess.

I saw Howard and shook his hand in Huntsville, AL, during the presidential primaries. He came here because the DFA folks here asked him to, not because he had any chance in Alabama in the primaries...he went from here to Atlanta...PROOF the man has walked his talk about running in the whole country. He spoke here to a packed house!

Dean's speech delivery when viewed in person is powerhouse stuff: He is direct, plain-spoken and actually says what is on his mind. He packs a lot into one speech. Awesome man.

Prepare to be fired up when you leave, cuz he has a gift for doing that! Wish I could be there. DEAN IS THE MAN!
