According to "Raw Story." The Boy Scouts are such asses. They don't allow either atheists or gays to taint their purity. They claim to be a "private" organization and hence allowed to discriminate; but they are really running a "public" service organization that should be open to all boys.
I regularly contribute to the girl scouts, they do not discriminate. As a matter of fact, most people knew a few of our camp counselors were gay, but they were well respected and great leaders.

There are an awful lot of people obsessed with adult heterosexual porn, for example, who not only aren't predatory rapists, to the contrary, they rarely have sex, willing or otherwise, at least with someone else. Which would mean that they are able to use porn for their sexual arousal without engaging in gangbangs at the office.

I think its kinda common for people with paraphilias to rigidly compartmentalize their lives. Thats why its always such a shock, when you hear about the straightlaced banker guys who once a week pay a dominatrix to bind and gag them, walk them around on all fours with a dog leash and then pee on them. Yet they rarely do it at work.

I think there's a real issue with this guy's claim that he could enjoy child porn and still not molest children, when he was leading the charge against gays in the BSA. That's hypocritical to me.

I know plenty of gay men and none of them are interested in child porn, nor are they pedophiles. They're sexually interested in other men, not children. I'd leave my two sons (ages 7 and 5) with my gay friend without thinking twice about it. I'd never let them get near anyone who is into child porn, regardless of whether he (or she) claimed they only viewed it at home alone.

But anyway, even if you can enjoy child porn without acting on it as a pedophile, the real audacity here is that this guy was actively opposed to gays in the BSA.
