I waited on one of the richest women in the US today. |
|
I am a receptionist, and today one of the richest women in the US walked in my door.
Driving a Hummer.
Wearing a 5-7 carat diamond necklace.
I am drinking jack daniels straight up right now.
She was nice; I don't want to live here anymore. I want to leave the US.

4. No. It was really that bad....I am drinking, and have called my mother |
|
I need counseling.
Everything I despise about capitalism shoved down my throat in 10 minutes.

3. No. What bothered me was the fact that this woman owns a company |
|
and the employees cannot afford health care.
I don't even want to mention her name on DU; I promise you--you know who she is.

15. hmm, don't think Oprah drives a hummer |
|
I bet she gets chauffered everywhere and takes at least twenty friends along. So I hope that rules her out, because I like Oprah.

16. what part of the US do you live in? |
|
I seem to think you're in one of the Carolinas, but I could be mistaken. I was gonna ask if she was wearing a special anklet, but I actually like Martha and don't think she drives a hummer.. Hmmm.
I got seriously depressed today reading the report about the Earth's prognosis, how humans are doing irreparable damage and if the capitalists in this country weren't ruled by greed, we could probably prevent the Earth's demise -- Actually, if the boy genius (not) just diverted all the frigging $$ used for this war toward stabilizing the environment, feeding the hungry, providing health care for all there would be no problems to speak of. But no, capitalism won't let us do that! If you're rich, you succeed, if you're poor, you die. I don't like it either.

And capitalism eating people alive is what I am so upset about!
Like I said, one DUer PM'd me already to warn me about too much information on this thread---but, the fact is, I am a receptionist---and am going to quit my job in a couple of months anyway---
If I get fired over this thread---fuck it! ;)
