I want to drink my cat's ashes in a Triple Thick Milkshake; please advise. |
|
My 14 year-old cat, Tennis Star (so named because she was good at batting things around), died three months ago, and has been cremated. The thing I remember most about her is how I would bring home a McDonald's vanilla Triple Thick Milkshake every single day and drink it while I was on websites. She would always come up behind me and sit on the bookcase behind the computer and meow that she wanted some of the milkshake, which I would pour in a little bowl for her. It was a cute little routine that we'd gone through for about four years (since just after Triple Thick Milkshakes came out); I put her ashes on the spot on the bookcase where she would sit and meow.
Now when I sit at the computer with my milkshake, it's just not the same. I would look back at the urn where her ashes are kept every single day and start crying, until a few days ago. On that day, I had this feeling that Tennis Star wants me to move on, and that I should get rid of her ashes from my house, and right after that, I had this idea that I should put them in my Triple Thick Milkshake and drink them, as it was like her favorite thing to drink the milkshakes. For some reason this idea calms me, and I do not cry anymore, but when I'm drinking the milkshake I keep thinking about how I've not done it yet, and then go back and forth between that and the idea that once I do it, I can't undo it, so I should approach this idea carefully.
I would like any advice that DU cat-owners could give me.

4. ashes are caustic...not a great idea to consume them |
|
I don't know how caustic a cat ash milkshake would be, but caustic things dissolve protein which is why Draino dissolves hair clogs.

6. It won't kill you, but it might make the milkshake a bit "gritty" |

11. McDonald's? Are you nuts |
|
Do your cat right and go to a local fountain or at least a dairy Queen or sumthin' and have an honest to goodness MILKSHAKE!
I own a cat and I would NEVER think of drinking his beloved ashes with anything less than a shake from our local ice cream palor. AND, they use hormone free milk!

When I make up a fake story, I like to put in a "rate-limiting step" as a clue that it's fake.
