Will Air America Radio have a Chicago affiliate anytime soon?
I read that AAR would have a Chicago affiliate on March 31st (one year anniversary) then on April 1st (Jerry Springer). Then perhaps, at the beginning of the week (today)...But still no Chicago affiliate.

Does anyone know?

2. Sand to the beach.
We don't need AAR in Chicago.

I can think of dozens of other cities that need AAR before Chicago does. We're so blue, it would only serve to taint our blueness.

4. If the signal is strong enough, you can shoot out into rural Illinois
and even Indiana... And think of the truckers, and the visitors and etc etc etc

9. Well that would mean 90 percent of AAR is in Blue areas, get rid of them?
Edited on Mon Apr-04-05 11:39 AM by LaPera
San Francisco, New York City, Los Angles, Seattle, Portland, OR, Boston, Minneapolis, Washington DC, Honolulu, Providence, Philadelphia, New Haven, Detroit, Albuquerque, Reno, etc. etc. all blue.

Chicago is absolutely necessary, the third largest market in the US...it will bring in more revenue for AAR and will sew the rest of the county together, east & west coast, north & south border of the US.

Chicago is incredibly important, if a national network truly wants to compete in the national market place.

15. No. It doesn't mean that.

Chicago is Talk Radio central. It's very competitive here. Chicagoans take their talk radio very seriously.

If AAR wants to be successful in Chicago, they had better ramp it up, or stay away.

16. Certainly, DuPage County is horrible.
But down in South Cook, where I live, it's very blue.
