Wow..."I, Robot" sucked more than Xaviera Hollander. |

What a fucking terrible piece of shit movie that was.
I knew it was going to suck, but I couldn't, in my wildest imagination, expect it to suck that bad.
Yeesh.
On the upside, all we need to do is hook Isaac Asimov's corpse to some sort of generator for a limitless, clean energy source; he'll be spinning in his grave for centuries.

2. We should reanimate Asimov |
|
And have him hunt down and eat everyone associated with that movie.

8. It wasn't that bad as long as you don't associate it with the stories. |
|
It was better than Minority report, at least.

9. It wasn't based on Aasimov's book, it was "Suggested By..." |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-06-05 11:20 PM by Nevernose
They used the names, basically, and a close look at the poster will reveal the term "suggested by.". Makes it a different movie if you go into it expecting to see absolutely nothing of the source material in there. For instance, in the book, where they devise a series of ingenious tests to determine which robot is not bound by three laws, in the movie they reference those tests, and then WIll Smith starts blowing shit up.
Okay, so it's not what you'd call intellectually stimulating, but I wasn't expecting that. I was expecting bright lights and flashing colors and an orgy of shit blowing up, and I got what I paid for. Of course, I wouldn't pay for it a second time...

but the mofos used the title of one of his short story collections and then went in a totally different direction than any of his stories. Change the title or write a better screenplay using the stories "Reason" and "Liar" and bringing Susan Calvin to the screen.
