Anyone know a good safe reliable FREE credit report site?
I've never checked my credit and I thought it might be a good time to check it.

Anyone?

Any to avoid?

7. Really? With a list of everything on it?
Like I said in another post I just want to see if there is something out there that I forgot about-for whatever reason.

2. If you have been denied credit, you are entitled to a free report
or if you live in the west coast or midwest, you are entitled to one free report per year from each agency. East coast phases in in a couple months.

4. The Fair Credit Reporting Act has made all credit reports free
At least one free per reporting company.

Don't know the site off-hand, but I got both mine and my hubby's free.

(equifax & experian is who I used, but you have to start at the free credit report site first.)

6. In Minnesota and surrounding states you get a free report each year
http://news.minnesota.publicradio.org/features/2005/02/28_olsond_privacy/

Been thinking about what you can do to prevent identity theft? Turns out there are some tools. One of the biggest arrives March 1st. Starting then Minnesotan's and residents in surrounding states can get one free copy a year of their credit report. Experts say that'll help consumers spot incorrect information and alert them to fraudulent activity. Beyond that, experts say, there's little we can do to control the spread of our personal information and limit who has access to it.

From what I see the Mid South will get their free reports after June 1.

I did nad found something funky - so its worth checking - I got it cleared up with a phone call.
