My cat's name is Kitty. What's yours?
We tried Salem, but she never really responded. But when I say "Kitty," she knows she's being summoned.

So, what creative cat names do DUers' cats go by?

twins, but they were girls, not boys, ergo, Cassie and Polly.
The other two are Mommiegirl and her daughter, Bootsie, an almost all black cat with white feet.

Bob is the fuzzy love pig.

Andrew is the aloof control freak.

They are brothers, and my only kitty's at the moment.

Bob Say's Meow! to all the DUer's out there ( he actually Meowed when I mentioned his name), either that or my son hasn't filled the food bowl yet.

Binky - likes to chew on my finger (white "Holstein cat")
Roo, a/k/a "the Bishop of Roominster Tabby" (back, left). He has markings in the shape of a cross on his back.

21. I have two...Minnie and Guinga. My furry nephew is Floyd.
I adopted two adults within a month after my old girl, Tikki, passed on. (Her name was given to her by her first owner.) Minnie was named so by the folks at the Humane Society (she's a little slip of a thing). After trying to come up with a new name for about a week, she was already responding to Minnie...so it stuck.

Guinga's name was Tiger at the Humane Society. I asked a Brazilian friend to help...her family's pets have almost had great names. She took one look at him and said "he is Guinga." (Guinga is a Brazilian singer/composer.) It fits him perfectly. He's a huge male tabby...he stretches out to over three feet long and has clodhopper feet.

I am so terrible at picking names that if I had children, they would probably have remained nameless.

allowed me to share my home with them.

My nicknames for them, though, are Psycho Kitty and Klutzy Kitty,
'cause Teddy is on Fluoxetine (Prozac) and Tigger falls off things.

37. My cat's name is Oops
Actually, he's my hubby's cat - I'm his step-mom but I love him like he was my own and he seems to love me too (hubby growls that he loves me more than him sometimes but it's not true).

Oops got his name when he was a baby. He was playing on the deck with his brother. The deck hangs over a rather steep hill so it's pretty high off the ground. Anyway, Oops bounded up onto the railing and pitched right off. Oops. Undaunted, he raced back up, climbed onto the railing yet again, and once again, tumbled off.

He suffered no ill effects and today is a 16 pound bundle of pure purring muscle. But the name still fits.

38. Cats: Jennifer, Myst, Cleopestra & Spook
Spook is one of Cleopestra's offspring -- she's actually more pesty than her mother.

Jennifer is the old girl. Mr. CornField got her as a kitten when he was going to school in Seattle.

Myst is a rescue cat who must show us daily that she doesn't really need us, just tolerates us living in her shelter.

41. Stevie Lee Jones
So when I'm mad at her, I can get all formal and call her Miss Jones.

But mostly she responds to "my girl" or "my sweet girl". When I say "It's bedtime for Bonzo" she always grabs her fave toy and runs and jumps on the bed and waits for me.

So the gods only know what she thinks her name is...

Khash.
