It's official - I shoot my finger at every behometh SUV I pass |
|
I'm not anti-SUV. I know that there are smaller SUVs out there that get decent gas mileage and that there are some people who need SUV for a reason.
But in the state of Delaware, I cannot think of one reason someone needs a behometh SUV other than small brain and/or small penis. Our weather is pretty average and it's not like we have alot of farmland in our small state. These cars are guzzling a finite resource and polluting our air. I have no shame in shooting the finger at these vehicles when I pass them ESPECIALLY if they have a yellow ribbon magnet on their back.
And yes, twice yesterday I passed a hummer. One had a couple who must have been really short because their heads barely cleared the dashboard. The other was in a parking lot and the Hummer was trying to cram its behometh body into a normal size parking space.
I'm not normally a rude person like this, but I think its about time we starting to shame those who drive these assinine vehicles

You never know when: 1)The person you are saluting has just been fired or dumped and is a bit pissed...
2)You are saluting a fellow Dem who actually may need such vehicle for job duties. My friend and I had to rent an Excursion to carry the equipment we needed for an archeological survey in South Texas.
Just a friendly reminder and a story here- A friend of mine was chased down by a guy he had flipped off. They ended up in a cul-de-sac with my friend running from this guy who looked like he was going to rip his lungs out. They ended up talking it out, lucky for my friend.
Be careful. As Ed Abbey says, "The irritability level in the U.S., as elsewhere, continues to rise."

|
Didn't you get the memo? All SUV drivers are evil and deserve to get harassed on the street and have their personal property vandalized.
Note: this post isn't about vandalizing SUVs but there have been others.

8. Remember, I've specified a group of SUV - the Behomeths |
|
I respect the normal size ones that get 20+ MPG. I mean, if I had kids, I would rather own an SUV than a Minivan.

Fascism might be a little strong.
I have yet to see anyone post about actually confronting an SUV owner in person. So far, it's been mostly flipping off from a safe distance, cutting off and vandalism when the driver isn't around.
It always amazes me how ignorant people can get when behind the wheel of their car. Most people would never think of doing some of the things they do while driving. I mean, like cutting people off or flipping them off. Could you imagine if people started acting like that in line for a bank teller on a regular basis?

I was driving on Storrow Drive one day maybe about 9 or 10 years ago, in my old Toyota Tercel. This thing had so many liberal bumper stickers on it that you could hardly see any of the paint job on the back half of the car.
It's a beautiful day and I have my windows down.
I'm in the right lane, minding my own business. To my left, one car passes me, then another. In the second car, a man starts screaming out his window about what a "Fucking Liberal" I am, and how "Slick Willie" is going to get his.... yadda yadda yadda.
What he failed to notice is that someone had pulled out in front of the car that was in front of him. The car in front of him put their brakes on. This guy plowed right into the back of that car because he was so busy giving me a piece of his mind.
It's nice to have passions. Just don't let them divert your attention from driving safely.

in a neighborhood I frequent, and oddly enough, most of them are driven by liberals/Dems.
My husband hates SUV's, he hates to get stuck behind them on the road, since they all have tinted windows. Needless to say, he is always stuck behind one, since there are so many. I just try to ignore them.
I reserve the middle finger for really blatant tailgaters.

I have a Wrangler, and the gas mileage sucks. I didn't know they were that bad, but I have it for four more years. I guess I deserve to be shot the finger.

23. I don't consider a Wrangler as a Behometh |
|
I'm talking Hummers, Escalades, Expeditions and the other giant size SUVs that get single digit gas mileage.
Your Wrangler may have crappy gas mileage but I'm sure it's better than 8-12 MPG
