Who is the greatest underrated (or unrated) rock cowbellist?
I always liked that Blue Oyster Cult guy who delivered such a rocking performance on "Don't Fear the Reaper" but I'm sure there are many, many more memorable performances you'd love to share...

4. Rick Allen (Def Leppard) and Tommy Lee (Motley Crue) for starters.
Plenty of cowbell work on Def Leppard songs such as "Photograph", "Rock of Ages" and "Foolin'" and the "Too Fast For Love" album by Motley Crue has cowbell in every single song. And who can forget the cowbell intro to "We're Not Gonna Take It" from Twisted Sister? Everyone had a cowbell in the late 70's/early 80's.

9. That's Jimmy Miller?
'Honky Tonk Women' was the first song that came to mind, but I never knew that it was Jimmy Miller doing the cowbell.
