So, I broke my ass, and all I got was this lousy NSAID!

I fell down my basement steps Saturday morning, breaking my tailbone! I went to the doctor yesterday, and he wouldn't give me any good pain pills, just some non-steroidal anti-inflammatory crap. Damnit, I wanted hard drugs!

And boy does my tailbone hurt!

And, for good measure, some kid rear-ended my car Saturday morning too. Now his insurance company is going to decide if they'll "accept" liability!

When it rains, it pours.

When my friend broke her tailbone she got Percocet. She damn sure needed them - she could hardly walk! Call the doctor and tell him you're in pain!

And OH does it hurt. You have my sympathy, sweetheart.

(I was standing on the metal steps of a slide at McDonalds, facing outwards, watching a parade go by when I was 16. The steps were wet--it had been raining--and I lost my footing, and my assbone went boop boop boop all the way down those metal steps. This was before ibuprofen hit the market, so I took tylenols and had to sit on a donut shaped ring until it healed. Imagine being 16 and going from class to class carrying a butt ring. I needed pain meds for the damage to my ego!)

My steps were also wet, because I had just washed them. The lesson I'll take away from this is that it does not pay to clean your house. The doctor told me to get a butt ring but I just can't bring myself to do that.

My best friend cracked her tail bone a few weeks ago, and her doc said it will hurt for a LONG time...but he gave her vicodin.. your doc is stingy :(

22. Well, you're right in terms of pain - it would hurt less.

But for inconvenience, a broken leg would be much more of a bother. No driving, no showering, and all the other things that we take for granted.
