Who Remembers Tangee Lipstick?
Bought it at Newberry's and it turned a different color on everybody.

1. My grandmother used to wear it.
You can still get it through the Vermont Country Store catalog.

4. And Evening in Paris cologne - that's all I could afford for my
mother's birthday. Smelled really bad but the bottles were pretty.

2. Yeah, I used it as a young teenager. That really was the same
as mood lipsticks that were marketed years later in blue, green, white etc, but turned shades of pink and red when you applied them.

I must admit, the name Tangee is something that was stored WAY BACK in my memory library!

3. I sure do remember it.
I used to wear it. And they do still sell it at Vermont Country Store, where, I am convinced, you can find practically anything. I love it. (The store and the lipstick.)

6. I had strict parents . . .
I wasn't allowed to wear any cosmetics with color until I was 15! All of my girlfriends had that cook, color-changing lipstick; I think I was only girl in 9th grade confined to cherry-flavored Chapstik.

And later, my sister and I weren't allowed to wear Bonnie Bell Dr Pepper-flavored lip gloss in the car on family outings because my dad was grossed out by the smell.
