I saw Rod Stewart last night
It was a terrific show.

About 20 years ago, I would have said that I didn't think much of his voice, but after seeing him live, I now appreciate the fact that he has the kind of voice that lets him sing anything and everything.

And he's a showman. He loves the crowd and keeps them involved.

And just about every song, I turned to my companion and said "I love this song!"

Who knew I liked Rod Stewart so much? Go figure.

1. Did he do the Big Orchestra stuff?
and did he have lots of wardrobe changes? We've seen him twice and they were both good shows. If you want to be "involved" in a concert see Tina Turner if at all possible. Wow!

2. He did do the set of standards--wearing a tux
There were plenty of wardrobe changes.... and he kicked autographed soccer balls into the audience.

3. I saw him years ago
I was going because he was touring with Jeff Beck on guitar, but Beck quit the tour. I was surprised by how good he was. I also went another time because I took my little sister for her birthday. He was really good both times. I know people rag on him, but he isn't that bad at all.

IS 60 YEARS OLD and has tons of positive energy. NOT BAD AT ALL.

5. His shows are great because he loves people and knows how to
involve them. The costume changes and the energy make for a fun time. I've seen him twice and it's amazing how good a showman he is.

And, I used to just associate him with "If you think I'm sexy and you want my body...come on baby let me know" and "hot legs." :D

6. I think those songs
are his way of laughing at himself--which I think makes him very sexy indeed.

10. To each their own, I guess...
...but I can't stand anything he's done since the Faces broke up.

13. Saw him with the small faces for $2.00
Back in the early 70s. He played the local youth center and was upstaged by the local band, Nils Lofgren's first band, that opened for them.
