I really can't afford to buy one, but with prom season and the military ball, and Lucas's 18th birthday, and mini-boot camp, etc... I can't really afford film and digital processing either.

1. You can buy an inexpensive one. |

When I got my first one, just so I could begin selling things on Ebay, I paid $50.00 for it. It didn't have any of the fancy stuff, but 5 years ago, only the VERY EXPENSIVE ones did. I used it for 2 years, made enough $$ to afford a bit better one, and sold my old one "on Ebay" for $50.00!
The new one works great, even though it's obsolete as far as today's technology goes.
Check Ebay, your local classifieds, and the Sunday paper ads for one time specials. You don't really need a $200-$500 camera to do what you want to do with it.

2. I bought a Nikon D70. Their base price is around $1200. I figure |

that when I take the equivalent of 150 rolls of 24 exposure film, I will break even. The rate I'm going, that will be the first year.
