Aye-aye! Have you ever seen something so ugly
Edited on Fri Apr-15-05 06:11 PM by DoYouEverWonder
that it was cute?

Kintana, a four-day-old aye-aye, is revealed by Bristol Zoo Gardens in the UK after becoming only the second to be born and reared in captivity. Aye-ayes, from Madagascar, are the world's largest nocturnal primates.

1. That's IT! That's IT!
That's the terrifying demon creature that's been haunting my nightmares for the past fifteen years!

Finally...my terror has a name...and it is...Aye-Aye!

7. I think it is cute.

But it sure doesn't like being squeezed.

I've always wanted to get to know an aye-aye. But I doubt if they have much reason to want to know our branch of their family tree.

I have no doubt that we're related. I was a nocturnal primate when I was younger, but better-looking, of course.

Edited on Fri Apr-15-05 07:17 PM by ltfranklin
It was 1993, Dallas...a five-day binge of alcohol, cocaine and sex. As I'm falling to the bathroom floor, I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror.

Yup...but I don't remember the big fingers, tho.

Amazing, amazing animals--and they're very closely related to us.

21. Love 'em
And all things Madagascan. Fantastic plants, gemstones, minerals, animals, insects....amazing place. Some of the worlds most beautiful orchids come from there and all of them are white, curiously enough.

And an adult Aye Aye is a beautiful creature. Unfortunately, the indigenous peoples of Madagascar consider Aye Aye to be bad luck and if found near a village, it must be killed.

16. Define Ugly ?
Physical appearance ? How about soul and intention. I am willing to guess that critter, while physically pretty fucking ugly, has not a drop of malice in its heart. That being said, is it really "ugly" ? *grin
