Pope's condition stable; has no comment on sainthood or successor.
Edited on Fri Apr-15-05 07:58 PM by NNadir
Three Boxes, Under the Floor, St Peter's Catheral, Vatican, (Faux News) - Pope John Paul II remained in stable condition today, with officials in the Vatican reporting no changes since last week's funeral. Repeated attempts by reporters to reach the Pope through intercession with various saints, up to and including the Blessed Virgin, elicited no response from the Pope regarding two pressing issues facing the church, the issue of moving forward quickly with his own canonization, or the issue of a successor. According to a spokesman who insisted that he not be named, but who holds high ecclesiastical rank, "It would be a miracle if the Pope had anything to say on either of these issues - not that miracles are impossible." The Pope neither confirmed or denied that this is an official Vatican response.
