be obliterated?

I can't wait to see Kingdom of Heaven. Saw Oceans 12 last night. What a hoot.

2. Film I Want To Be Made
is a movie based on J.D. Robb's in Death Series. There was supposed to be one in the works but that got postponed but I hope they will work it out so eventually it can be made into a theatrical movie or at least a TV series.

Roarke and Eve are great characters.

3. 'Am waiting patiently for the film of Scott Heim's novel --
-- MYSTERIOUS SKIN.

A film of the life of Amelia Earhart would be a good idea, I think. Joan Allen would be good as the mature Amelia.

I would pay good money also to see a film made of Andrew Holleran's novel, DANCER FROM THE DANCE.

8. I'd rather see "Childhood's End"...
One of Clarke's first novels, still one of his best ones.

15. I'd pick "The Songs of Distant Earth"...
Edited on Fri Apr-15-05 10:30 PM by Jeebo
... from that list, as my second choice behind "Childhood's End." I read "The Songs of Distant Earth" twice. It's SO realistic in terms of what future human colonization of planets in distant star systems could be like.

6. I'm excited to see the new Willy Wonka movie
Even though I love the original. I'm very curious to see what Johnny Depp does with the role.

I'm also anxious to see Cameron Crowe's next film (not sure what it's called, but I think it's in production.)

Also excited to see what the director of "Donnie Darko" does next (Richard Kelly...I think he's got something in production also.)

Also Kevin Smith's next endeavor, "The Passion of the Clerks." That sounds very promising.

And whatever Cole Hauser is in next, I will have to see, because I love him. :loveya:

As far as "want to be filmed" goes...I wish they'd make an "Old School" part II. Every time I watch that movie, I laugh my ass off the whole way through. It deserves a sequel. :D

7. Wonder Woman--coolest hero theme song EVAH.
Wonder Woman....Wonder Womannnnnnn.....I am thisclose to buying one of those 'Great TV theme song' cds just to be able to groove to that tune. One of the first shows I remember watching. I thought Lynda Carter was the coolest lady ever.

But they'll cast some unknown 20 year old who I'll be less than thrilled with...and I don't know if it'll be dumb...so maybe they're best not make it.

Kingdom of Heaven looks AWESOME. Man, how's that for Orly Bloom. First picture out of school is LOTR, second is Pirates of the Caribbean, and now he's the lead in a major picture that actually looks fantastic. Good for him.

11. Asimov's "Foundation" trilogy...
... one novel at a time, three movies for starters. The Elijah Bailey/R. Daneel Olivaw robot novels would make terrific movies too.

13. A sequel to "Forbidden Planet"...
... which I believe is the BEST science fiction movie EVER made. There's plenty of potential for a sequel. There could be more Krell artifacts discovered, for example, on a previously unexplored planet somewhere. I think Leslie Nielsen and Anne Francis are still alive. They could be recruited for the sequel as an elderly retired couple, retired Cmdr. J.J. Adams and wife Altaira living peacefully on a retirement planet somewhere, Adams recalled to active military service because of him and his wife being the only known individuals with prior experience with Krell artifacts. They join an expedition to explore that newly discovered planet and its artifacts, and the weirdness starts all over again ...

17. Ringworld
Ringworld will eventually be made as a crapp-ass fan-flick. But a good director could make a stunning movie of the first two books. Louis Wu & His Motley Crew. All the way through the end of the second book. What a great story.

18. "The Joyous Season" is a move I would like to see made..
and I don't understand why it has never happened. It is such a fun read and would make a great movie.

I also wish more of Carl Hiaasen's books were made into movies, and I think the Stephanie Plum books would make a great movie series or series of TVmovies.

On the current movie front, all the great new blockbusters coming out look FINE, and I still haven't seen Constantine !!!!!
