Here is a Joe Walsh story...
I used to work in a recording studio and one of the guys I worked with told me this story. I forgot who the artist was that was recording, I think it may have been Steve Lukather. Anyhow, one night this artist and Joe Walsh show up at the studio so that Joe can do some guitar work on this particular album. My friend said that Joe was completely loaded, and could hardly keep his eyes open. They put Joe in the studio with a guitar, but didn't know if he would be able to play. The engineer asked Joe if he was ready, and he mumbled that he was. My friend said that as soon as the music started, it was if Joe was sober as a judge. He played this amazing guitar, getting all of his parts done in one take! After he finished playing, he started to nod off again.
No doubt about it...that boy can play!
