SNL has become unbearable.

3. I'll reserve judgment until his performance |
|
He hasn't impressed the hell out of me to date, but maybe I'm missing something.
B-)

4. Meh, if you don't like him at this point, you probably never will |
|
Though who knows, his sound does change all the time, haha.

7. It's cool that he's got the old lipstick case pickup Silvertone guitar, |
|
and semi-matching amplifier (amp from the sixties, not a perfect match). But he really is not a very good singer. His pitch was off because he was trying to sing too low for his natural range. He wasn't relaxed enough to do it smoothly. He waivered a lot.
The chorus of the song is, "Nah nah, nah, nah, nah, nah nah." Gee, how did he come up with that?
There was a tag ad at the end of the performance, explaining that Beck was presented by Budweiser. What a fucking sell out.
Finally, that stupid fucking waste of space; the guy dancing around on stage, doing nothing else, contributing nothing musically, like an idiot during the performance, is a grotesque joke.
In sum, my opinion has not changed. Beck blows.

They do that budweiser ad at the end of every musical performance on SNL. It wasn't Beck's ad, it was SNL's. Just sayin'.

5. Evidently, he's found the pay-as-you-go religion for sustenance |
|
That's right. Scientology, he's a follower of L. Ron.
I thought he had a bit more sense, but, oh well.

11. I tried to watch some skits beforehand |
|
they were terrible. The only one I can watch is Tina Fey.
Beck is very good at what he does. He has a really interesting presence.

I thought the skits last night were much better than usual. Pretty funny...
But maybe I was just in a really good mood :)
