8. An unfairly maligned, but great album...
Upon its release it was slammed for its cold aliented sound, but that seemed to be its intended aesthetic. Yes, the title track does sound like "robotic Rolling Stones" and that is intentional. The "Sweet Thing/The Candidate" section contains one of Bowie's most stunning vocal performances. When people ignore Bowie's actual musical chops and think of him as some kind of fashion designer who conned his way into a music career, I always point out that the played ALL of the guitar on the album (with the exception of the rhythm guitar on "1984")
And, of course, it does contain "Rebel Rebel"
Bowie has made some dreadful records, but "Diamond Dogs" is not one of them.

14. Undertandbly disappointed upon its release (I was a rocker kid)...
but grew to really appreciate it within about a month when I realised it was as much a "drug" record as it was a "blue (and yellow)-eyed soul" record :) It remains a favorite to this day.

16. I even like "David Live" which was savaged upon its release...
and even upon its reissue a few years ago. Yes, a lot of the vocals and guitar lines were later redone in a studio, but so what? Anyone who is expecting "gritty authenticity" from Bowie is just delusional.
