I'm getting really close to the end of my rope. I have this report due at the end of the day for a project I've been "working" on for the last couple of months. I just can't seem to make myself do it. I've had to force myself to do anything on the project for weeks now and I just can't seem to sit down and write.
My job is making me insane. I can't care about it anymore. I sit here all day and stare blankly at the computer screen and it's going to come to a head soon.
I need to get the hell out of here and I don't have the slightest idea where to start. Anybody got a line on a job somewhere that isn't here? :-)
Just needed to vent.

on edit: Does that help? Nice little diversion for you? Just think, when you finish, you can go out and have a gooooooooood time! Hang in there, sweetie!

but I think I'm beyond the point where a good paddling can cure this.
No good time for me tonight either. After work I have to do laundry and pack. I have a trip for work tomorrow and my flight leaves at 6:30 am. Eep.
I'm trying to hang in there...I reall am. I'm just never gonna get done and my boss is gonna yell and somewhere deep down I almost wish she'd fire my ass just so I wouldn't have any choice but to leave.

I was almost to the point of wishing to get laid off, so I could leave and start over somewhere else.
I still wouldn't mind relocating, but I'll keep my paycheck coming while I work it out, though.
Good luck. :-)

It just gets to me some days more than others. All it takes is something else piling up on top of the work problems and I get like this.
I went at lunch to see how outrageously expensive it would be to go to DC for the rally this weekend. Big mistake. I didn't even realize I wanted to go until somebody posted a thread about "who's going?". Anyway, it would cost an arm and a leg and I'm sick to death of working and never having any money. When that adds up on top of hating my job to begin with it's just that much harder to get motivated to do anything.
God I'm whiney today.

I was thinking about going, but I was planning on moving (in town) Dec. 1, so I was in a money-saving mode.
I didn't see that Dec. 1 is right there after Thanksgiving, so many friends would be out of town. No help moving. :-( So, I ended up deciding to stay where I am for 6 more months. Turns out I could have gone to DC. Oh well, c'est la vie.

10. Oh...uh, I do have some news on him. |
|
Apparently the lady buying his house backed out because the house SHE was selling didn't close. :-(
So, it looks like he will be stuck here a while longer. Unless you know someone that wants to buy his house. Er, make that someone who wants to, and is ABLE to, buy his house. I'd love to own it.

I'll try to look sufficiently upset for him the next time I see him even though I'm glad we're gonna get to keep him a while longer.
Hey. He has a big house. We should get him to throw a "staying right here" party. :-)

I think that's why I all of a sudden got it into my head to check on how much it would cost to go to DC this weekend. I need to get away. I didn't have a vacation this summer and I really need a week or two to just sit and be.
There are places I want to go and people I want to see and things I want to do and there just isn't the time or money for any of it so instead I'm stuck here in a job I can't stand day after day and I want out.
