Anyone ever see the Mentos commercial with all the birds?
It's a commercial with all these different birds chirping and quacking.
LOL, I have never seen it before and when it came on my birds were looking around like "WTF?". It made me laugh.

Here is Chuck and Charlene.

1. Cockatiels !!!
I love them, I used to raise them years ago. Andy Griffith used to set Radar (my pet) off years ago.

We had a basset hound as well, 101 Dalmatians (the original) used to set him off on a howling frenzy.

2. My street is the street the firetrucks take
Sirens set them off also. Even if I'm watching "Cops"..LOL
I go these two from a pet store. I know, bad move, but I felt bad for them. My last one was hand fed and was really gentle. These two aren't mean, but only Chuck will come to me and that isn't all the time. I don't know if I can still teach them or not. They are about two years old now.

3. It's a bit late.
But if they have any young ones, you can hand feed and tame them. We would take the little ones away when the parents started picking at them.

4. If the male will jump on my finger now and again
Will it get to the point of trusting me eventually? And will the female learn that also? He does come to me once and a while.

5. We had one that we tamed
It was a long process. Get him used to being near you and resting on your shoulder. Feed him using your mouth, tiny bits of apple between the lips works well. Bribery works well with animals, as well as affection. Mine liked having her cheeks scratched and neck rubbed. It's easier if they're alone, w/o a mate or companion.

They probly have books on it that could help a lot more. It's been years since I raised them.
