Went to a magical city...would I ruin my memories if I went back? |
|
Spent four magical days in Paris last month and now my friends want to go back...but it was so magical in the midst of spring that I am a little bit afraid that it won't be the same. I didn't see a fraction of what I wanted to see, but I fell in love with the city for the days I was there. Did you ever go somewhere and go crazy about the place only to return and not have the same experience? Advise please!!

and I have plenty of problems including trying to figure out how long it will take me to pay off this trip, LOL! So please don't think you are talking to Paris Hilton here!

2. Yes, been there several times and one daughter lived there. Wait a while. |
|
I do not think I have ever been back to a favorite spot and found it as great the 2nd time, but maybe that is just me.

3. It won't ruin the first time. Like Bogie and Ingrid, you'll always have |
|
Paris. Going back will just allow you to broaden and deepen your knowledge of that great city. And likely as not you'll find it magical again.
Say hello to the rue Mouffetard for me.

I was only there for a few days and missed out on seeing so much, but because it so great, I was worried that it wouldn't be the same. Maybe I should concentrate on doing different things? i.e., don't go back to the Moulin Rouge and the Eiffel Tower...

6. C'mon, you know the drill: Louvre, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, |
|
Sainte Chapelle, Musee d'Orsay, Pompidou Center, etc., etc., etc.
The god's honest is that back in the day when I actually had funds for travelling in Europe, what I liked most about Paris was walking around at random and breathing in the aroma of rotisserie chicken. But then, I was always a little different.

because if I didn't fall off of the "I-fell tower", he was sure he could make it to the top. From the mouths of babes!

8. When I lived in Europe... |

We'd go to Paris at every opportunity. Go back. Become really familiar with the city. It only gets better, the better you know it.
