Are Aloha shirts in style on the mainland? |
|
Just wondering. Everyone at Trader Joe's is wearing them.

"in style." I do know some people who wear them during the spring/summer, though.

I think an island shirt looks great when you wear it in any place except in a vacation destination. We live in a community that gets a lot of tourists, and few things look more dorkish than a tourist on vacation, wearing an island shirt, Bermuda shorts, black socks and Birkies.

6. If you're drunk, you always look good. |
|
And being rich is fashionable enough in its own right, that nobody cares how you dress.

But I really don't give a shit,I may just wear one today. Here in redneckville the manly men wear blue jeans, sleevless shirts and work/cowboy boots in the middle of august(90+degrees). I do get some funny looks when I'm sporting aloha shirt, shorts and sandals.

But a few compliments from the ladies at work, and now they're a staple of his summer wardrobe!
He's a big fella (quote from friend who didn't recognize him "jeez, I saw you comin' in the door, and I thought somebody owed somebody money!"), and prints on a black background look great on him.
Also palm trees - love the ones with palm trees
