Pet Peeve: People who sent junk out as attachments....
instead of just pasting it in the body of the email. It's SO ANNOYING. I'm not talking about REAL attachments, like documents and stuff. I'm talking about announcements, memos, crap you just sat down to write specifically to SEND OUT AS AN EMAIL. And then some people even take it and make it a pdf or some such crap! Without any graphics or anything, any reason to make it a pdf instead of just PUTTING IT IN THE BODY OF THE FECKING EMAIL.

It's so damn annoying. I find it extremely pretentious, to be honest. Oooo, look, this hiring annoucement is so important I had to use MS Word to write it and now I'm going to attach it and send it out to the whole company -- and make you WASTE AN EXTRA FIFTEEN SECONDS while you download it or open it just to FIND OUT WHAT THE FUCK IT IS.

Am I just being pissy, or does ths annoy anyone else?

4. Hee!
I'm actually in a pretty good mood today, that one thing just pushes my buttons for some reason. And you know, it's one thing when you do it in a company -- at least you know everybody there HAS microsoft word or whatever you're using. It's another thing when you send it to an entire internet mailing list -- and it's an important annoucement that everyone needs to see -- and you have NO idea who's on the mailing list, and what kind of computer they have -- and they may or may not be on dial up, and they may or may not have acrobat reader. Honestly. I just think it's really really rude not to think of other people when you do stuff like that.

2. I agree, forwarding as an attachment when it could be incorporated
...is rude at best, and jerking one's chain at worst. Or it could indicate a complete lack of knowledge. In any event, it annoys!

3. I also get them, but I honestly know people
who are new to the internets and haven't grasped the concept of cut and paste, so I cut them some slack.

6. And I responded and said,
You might not wanna do this for people who don't have acrobat, and he said, People can just look at this in "view" mode.

Uh, HELLO, not everyone has the same email program?!

5. I don't think I have ever had that happen

Or maybe it's because I delete all emails with attachments that I'm not expecting.

7. That'd learn 'em, wouldn't it?
All of the executive secretaries at my company do this.

How are you doing, by the way? Haven't run into you in a while here. :hi:

9. It's been a long time since I worked for a large company
I forgot what it was like. Usually, I hear it yelled at me from across the office, "I'll email it to you."

Everything is fine. I should head to the Texas forum more often.

Everything is fine.

I've been staying home the past couple of days and I am definitely ready to get out of here.
