Weekend workers? Post here.
Would love to stay up and party with "the big kids" but Saturday is our busiest day at work. Anyone else wishing they could pour another drink and stay up later to b.s. with the Monday to Friday gang?

1. Yeah, I've been working Saturdays for a while now
It's actually often our busiest day too, but because most people have the day off, it seems to have a much more relaxed pace than a weekday, so in some ways I don't mind working it.

The biggest thing I hate about it is that a lot of the yoga/Pilates/Nia workshops I want to take are on Saturdays and I often miss them. :(

There's been some hissing and a few standoffs with the others, but so far so good. :D

17. He's actually pretty good sized - about 13 lbs.
He's a Manx, though, so he has a slender build. He's a cutie, though.

Thanks! :hi:

Too bad I don't get paid for it, but I own the joint and don't work very hard, so it ain't so bad.

I had that shift offered to me at the hospital and I told them they were nuts. I got batty after the first two shifts.

7. I work 6 days a week
Mon thru Fri 4pm - 9pm and Saturday 8:30am - 6pm.

I learned quickly that I can't go out late on Fridays. But once every couple of months, I get a Saturday off (for my sanity). I've put in for a 3 day weekend June 10-12. :woohoo:

9. I work weekends.
But it's only at my choice and my discretion, not my employer's. I'm off this weekend so it's party time!

11. here on deployment, it's 7 days a week...
army pay sounds o.k. until you realize it's 7 days a week, 14 hours (or whatever) a day!!!
the only way to get a day off is pull 24 hour duty. then, maybe, you can take the whole day off.
just offering a little perspective... enjoy your weekend... :)

12. I have worked weekends for so long
that I enjoy having off in the middle of the week. Less people are out and I can get things done faster by not having to wait in long lines. I do remember the days when nothing was open on Sundays and families spent more time together.

14. When I could get 2 days off from work, at previous job
I always like having a Tuesday or Wednesday off. You can get all your errands done quickly. And if you need to go shopping, no fighting for a parking space or fighting the crowd.

Working on my master's and Ph.D. Teaching three sections. I'm working constantly. Weekends are simply a time to work that isn't interrupted by lectures.

Sometimes one day, sometimes both days. This weekend I have Sunday off. I don't care. I like having weekdays off. But I like having any day off.
