FreeRepublic to be very active this weekend |
|
Posted on 04/28/2005 8:23:40 AM PDT by kristinn
The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us in our nation's capital this weekend as we play a three game series against the liberals and leftists working to undermine America from within.
Friday, April 29, from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. we will gather at the northeast corner of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, NW to counter Code Pink's so-called antiwar demonstration at the gates of Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Saturday, April 30, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. we will gather at the southeast corner of Connecticut Avenue and T Street, NW, across from the Washington Hilton for our seventh annual freep against liberal media bias outside the White House Correspondents Association dinner. Details here.
Sunday, May 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. we will gather on the sidewalk on the north side of Lafayette Park at 16th Street and H Street, NW to counter Code Pink's so-called antiwar rally in front of the White House.
For the counter-demonstrations against Code Pink, please bring American flags, signs bearing messages supporting our troops and their mission fighting the war on terrorists as well as signs informing the public about Code Pink's America hating Red roots.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
The weather forecast for this weekend is for chances of rain Friday and Saturday, clear on Sunday. Temps in the 60s for most of the time we'll be out and about.
A note about Code Pink: The group is dedicating their Friday night protest at Walter Reed to "pay special tribute to Marla (Ruzicka) and all the Iraqis who have suffered from the violence of the war and occupation conducted in our name."
Their Sunday rally at Lafayette Park will mark the second anniversary of President Bush announcing the end of major combat operations in Iraq (and the birth of the terrorist insurgency cheered on and aided by Code Pink.)

1. What do you think, maybe they'll get a large group this time like . . |
|
10 or 11. It would surpass their other gatherings :)

3. "No racism." Interesting how they have to mention that specifically |
|
Hope all seven of them remember that.

showing up. Of course there will be more flags and placards than people. Are they going to transport the porta-potties with them? I can just imagine 7 freeps dragging porta-potties all over Washington with their mobile vile-fest.
These whack-jobs actually think they're making a difference. I can't wait to see the pictures. Could someone else post them? I hate to soil myself by clicking onto that site. It makes me feel unclean an scummy.

12. Somebody needs to call the Marine recruter |
|
and tell them where to find these fine people. Give them a chance to sign up and really show their support instead of just talking the talk.
In fact, this should be done every time there is a counter demonstration. Put up or shutup!

They're saying Code Pink isn't so much 'anti-war' as pro-enemy:
"...and the birth of the terrorist insurgency cheered on and aided by Code Pink.)"
If I was going to be in D.C. that day, I'd bring a camera and get some Freep-snaps. I'm pretty sure I could capture both of 'em on disc.

16. That idea is so stupid, it didn't occur to me... |
|
but now that I think about it, it does fit the deranged worldview of the radical right.
