American Idol 4: Why Constantine Lost
http://www.foxesonidol.com/cgi-bin/ae.pl?mode=1&article=article1711.art&page=1

Constantine seemed like a train that would never stop until he got to the end of American Idol. But this week, that train was derailed. What happened to cause the formidable performer’s votes to disappear? Why did Constantine lose?

Speaking of consistency, was Constantine consistently good in the different genres, as the third rule advises? You probably already know my answer: No. Mind you, Constantine was definitely able to sing in those different genres, but by doing so in such an easy manner, he lost some of who he was (or who he was trying to be). Maybe Bo didn’t do so hot a couple weeks, but we always knew who he was. Maybe Carrie would come back to her country roots whenever possible, but she also rocked the house with a Heart song when the situation called for it – and it felt real.
