|
That's what I heard elsewhere.
Which blows. But he is going to have Gannon/Guckert/Gogurt on tonight.

2. According to HBO's online schedule, this week is Real Time #53, and |
|
next week's is #54, so it doesn't look like that's the case.

4. I'm tired of Bill trying to find a silver lining in the Iraq occupation |
|
He's still spouting the GOP line of, "Oh well, as long as we're here, this democracy thing could work! Maybe it's good we invaded!"
Don't tell me you haven't noticed it.
He can't seem to get it into his brain that our troops are going to be in harm's way when Iraq implodes into bloody civil war.
Face facts, it's a tribal culture. The Turks, Kurds, Sunis, etc. have been quarreling and fighting with each other since before there was such a thing as mesopotamia (pre-islam) and there's no way in hell we can expect them to just stop cold and accept a secular democracy in just one generation.
If you think the infighting isn't going to disintegrate into a bloody mess the split second we pull our troops then you really are self deluded. Just look at how desperate they are to blow up people associated with forming the new government.

5. I don't really know what your point is |
|
but whatever. Bill is like a frigging pendulum on Iraq, always seems to be on one extreme which changes every now and then, which is quite different from myself, but he's still the host of the best liberal debate show on tv.

6. Really? I hadn't heard he was going to have him on. |
|
I hope he asks some tough questions. (Not that he'll get honest answers.)
