If someone says "boogie" do you think of John Lee Hooker? |

I think of the song Boogie Chillen, but for some reason his name doesn't stick in my head, so I always have to root around in there to find his name.

My first thought is of my guitar amp, a Mesa/Boogie. I think of Boogie amps first, then "Boogie Boy" by Iggy Pop.

.50 Caliber Plus with tube reverb. I wouldn't want one of the lower prices Boogies they offer nowadays. I looked into getting one of the combo amps they have, because I don't always need to lug the Mesa head and the custom Marshall 4x12 with Vintage 30's (heavy) around, but found out <gasp> they use spring reverb. I'd rather get one without reverb and stick any combo I end up getting into the bathroom to record than have to deal with that.

Carmin Appice and Tim Bogert. In the early seventies they redefined the term with the live "Hot and Sweaty" album.
Of course they covered a lot of Hooker material.

Blues is my shit. John Lee Hooker is one of the all time greats. I remember the day that he died.
