I freely admit to being a cynic. I generally go on the assumption that people have ulterior motives but at the same time, I tend to cautiously give them the benefit of the doubt. Conditionally. It's not always a bad thing to have ulterior motives - not all of them are things that are malicious toward anyone else. I just think we need to recognize that other people's agendas may not be our own and to proceed cautiously.

I'm glad you were vindicated in whatever it is that has made you so happy. It's a good feeling to know that your gut instincts are working well.
