So there.

I am a closet Christian. I don't want to convert anyone, I disagree with that aspect of the religion, but I am tolerant of all points of view and feel very inclusive of my DU family.

response?

3. isn't it funny how some DUers are so hostile to Christians?
I thought this country was founded on freedom of religion, and I thought liberals were the tolerant ones. Hm, guess that ain't always the case.

4. Sounds like maybe you really are a Christian
Not the pseudo-Christians so many of us have a problem with.

If that is the case, its kind of like homosexuality for me. I can't really relate to it, but if it makes you happy or promotes loving your fellow human beings, then I'm all for it.

5. I answered this question at length
just the other day and I haven't really got the energy just now to explore it yet again. The curious can read my comments here:

18. Between friends and enemies...?
Sometimes you can't tell until the chips are down. But then you can. Does that make sense?

is holding the chips, if you are the 'up' or the 'down' holder.

8. I don't love everyone
I admit it, I don't. Its a case by case basis, but their are those that I would have to struggle to help. The people I don't love are few and far between, and they would have to be responsible for pain that people I'm close to are going through, not necessarily me, for me to write them off as worthy of my decency. I can take much more pain and suffering than I can bare to watch my loved ones go through. My decency is not automatic, and is not something to be taken for granted.

I feel the need to mention that I hate Bush. Pick one, any of them will do. Their cohorts are also the subject of my ire as well.

15. I have problems with organized religion
as I see many DUers do as well. But when I ride my Harley into work in downtown Sacto and go by the North Highlands AME Church, their sign used to say "Smile, God loves you", and it made me feel good. Christianity teaches us to love one another regardless of race, creed or color. Fundies have made a mockery of it.

21. You cannot possibly be an enemy to me, nor a friend
I have only encountered you here, tonight, I believe. It takes years for me to identify enemies and friends.

Don't flatter yourself.
