Hey, "Clerks" is on TV, but the fascists have edited it all to pieces. |

What's the point?!
They obviously don't understand the subtleties of the script.

They claimed it was un-cut. They sure didn't cut -out any dialog.

It showed uncut, but if it was ever shown on TV cut, I wouldn't consider it an act of fascism. CLERKS, while hilarious, is probably one of the most blue-laden scripts this side of GOODFELLAS.
That said, it's probably foolish to show it cut, as the obscenity-laced dialogue is essential to most of the punchlines. I'd want to see a bleeped version of CLERKS about as much as a bleeped version of RESERVOIR DOGS.

if you can.
I have yet to see the edited version of "Clerks" but can only imagine what a disaster that is. The edited versions of Mallrats and Dogma were absolutely unbearable. I only watched parts of each to see how bad the films had been hacked up by network standards and practices. The voice over actor they got for Jay was so bad that that was the funniest thing in the edited versions of those movies.
