We have an OLD HP LaserJet 4 printer (purchased in 1994), and my laptop doesn't have a parallel port for it. I was able to find a USB-parallel port cable at Fry's today, so now I can use my LaserJet with my laptop! WOOHOO!! :applause:

I do hate Fry's but they're significantly more useful to me than CompUSA.

7. Their Burbank, CA store is a TRIP! |

The facade has an alien spacecraft "crashing" into it, complete with life-sized aliens walking around. Inside, there are wax museum-esque vignettes of a 1950s gas station, which competes with still more aliens, which competes with a bizarre circus theme. It's like sensory overload when you go in there, and it always cracked me up.

the one in W. San Fernando Valley is Alice in Wonderland giant cards hanging from the ceiling, topiaries, etc.
the one in Redondo is a Tahitian theme grass huts etc.
the one on Hamilton in San Jose is an egyptian tomb
the one on Brokaw is an Aztec or Toltec type theme
the original Fry's was a computer theme input/output for the doors etc
I have no idea what the one in Sacramento is trying to be (or the one in Menlo Park or the one in Fremont)
I've worked in tech for years and I travel all over the state, so I've seem a lot of them.

they merged with someplace called Tech Universe or something like that a while back. It gave them a bunch of stores outside of Ca.
