I'm having a math mental block. I can't remember this stuff - it's gone. What the hell are they? Believe it or not, I did well in math.

2. They are called Sine and Cosine |
|
Tangent you got right. Now all you need to do is remember: Oscar Had A Hunk Of Ass. You should be fine.

|

Opposite over hypotenuse (sine: "oscar had") Adjacent over hypotenuse (cosine: "a hunk") Opposite over adjacent (tangent: "of ass")
Oh, they're trig ratios.

sine - opposite over hypotenuse
cosine - adjacent over hypotenuse
tangent - opposite over adjacent
At least that's my dim memory of calculus

8. Oscar Had A Hunk Of Ass is a much better way to remember |
|
Sohcahtoa is ok, but it doesn't carry an indellible meaning
Also when learning Latin it is good to remember the case tables by saying.
Never Get Done ACCepting Anal Veneration (I.e. being kissed up to)
That lets you remember the nominative, genitive, dative, accusative, ablative and vocative cases.

11. Of course, vulgarity is always preferable... |
|
...in the military some people use "Be My Little General" to remember the ranks of generals from lowest to highest (brigadier, major, lieutenant, general), however, I always preferred the more vulgar "Bite My Left Gonad".
