Just saw parts of Bowling for Columbine. Skipped most of it. Was |

flipping through the channels and caught that footage of the shooting - forgot about that - had my hands covering mine eyes when I saw it in the theater. Was on at about 9:30 at night. Don't know how much they showed. I saw a sec.
Who thinks they should have taken out that part for the T.V. Even on a documentary show. Should be censored - right?

I don't think "they" should censor any movie, any time, anywhere.

3. Not even for T.V.? On a weekend night? I understand the importance |
|
of putting the truth in a documentary. But on the T.V. It is being reshown. Kids could see it. Very disturbing.

being very graphic because of the graininess of the video. I didn't see it in the theater only on DVD.

I saw about half of Bowling for Columbine during Michael Moore's 2002 book tour, about 6 months before it hit the screen. He didn't cut a damn thing out of the final print, and I'm so glad he didn't. Reality is sometimes brutal, and I think that was one of the points Moore was trying to make.

6. I agree and was prepared to cover my eyes with hands and only |
|
saw shadows. But on the T.V. They always cut out parts of movie's for the T.V. Not like it is being censored anywhere else. This is T.V. Anyone could have access to it. I just think it is bad & unhealthy. Just that part of the film. The rest - should be shown in health classes the world over.

7. Don't they show SCHINDLER'S LIST unedited on NBC? |
|
Aside from the damned logo in the corner, the film is shown uncut and uncensored. Or at least that's what I seem to remember.
I think it's strictly a judgment call, partially modified by how much the FCC will allow, even with parental warnings.

Do you want to be in charge of what I see and what my kids see on TV?
Let me know, and I will send you an Application For Chief Censor On My TV.

10. Some things you may want your kids to wait until they are close to adults |
|
to watch. You don't always have control over what kids watch. What happens when you leave one of them home to babysit the others. Kids are vulnerable to some forms of violence. There are laws.

11. CBC is running Documentaries this month |
|
(Canadian Broadcast Corp) I love the CBC. they treat their viewers like adults, who can change the channel or turn off the TV if something they find offensive shows up. They don't censor anything.
