Have you EVER had a thread locked at DU?

I have. Twice that I know of. I felt really bad about it, too.

One was actually the first post and I got an apology or something.
I've asked the admins about only applying the dupe rule within a forum. It's too time consuming to check the last 2 or 3 pages on every forum before you post.

Never had one locked for content that I can remember.

2. Once upon a time many months ago

Late one evening, I posted a profanity laced thrashing of bush and republicans. I was locked. I think the mods were right. I got carried away.

4. Yes, twice (or thrice or fource, counting one or two dupes)

I didn't feel too bad about either one. The first was part of the infamous Mike Hunt from Aiken series of posts that became like salted peanuts in the Lounge--no one who posted on could stop at just one. So the mods eventually raided the joint and locked every thread with Mike Hunt in the title. Mine was "Underpants will help Mike Hunt from Aiken."

The second was a complaint about being "censored" in GD for calling someone a freeper. This was before I "got" the alert signal. I accepted that I was unaware of the rules, and I apologized for being out of order.

5. In the last four days,

I discussed the same topic in two threads. When the first thread was pulled due to moderator intervention, I actually started another thread and was careful not to overstep the rules. But that one disappeared on black Tuesday. Maybe I should talk about the same thing to see if there's a pattern?

Had my first lock ever yesterday for insinuating that a freeper murdered that NY congressman, and had a message removed when I posted Kobe's alleged victims webpage link. My bad. My apologies to all.

I looked and looked for the date on the story cuz I had that funny feeling you get sometimes. But it looked current and so I posted it and then it wasn't. :dunce:
